The city shaped’ explores the idea of the city as a machine for cultural production through a series of images and sculptural objects. This exploration examines the relationships between human activity and the space of the city: the way in which human activity shapes the form of the city and, in turn, is haped by it. Taking Melbourne’s Hoodle Grid as a testing ground, an analysis of each block reveals individual spatio-cultural characteristics, which are reinterpreted in the form of scultural objects.
