These works were developed under the theme memento, an exploration of a specific memory. School of Clay and Art, SOCA, Melbourne, 2023.

Suddenly the sun emerged behind the mountains and the light was so bright that I couldn’t even look at it. I closed my eyes. The sun was warm. The birds started chirping, like little dots in the air. There was a continuous buzz from insects and I could hear the boats far away. I was surrounded by water. I felt so small. It was an early morning in New Zealand.
