I’m interested in the act of creating as an intuitive process, a search for understanding the fundamental nature of things. This search is a result of a process of observation and constant experimentation that is directed by the nature of matter – weight, density, form, color, texture; it's spacial qualities – scale, proportion, volume - and its structure – composition, pattern, organization. These provide the framework for improvisation.

The duality and sometimes tension between my work as an architect and as an artist is a constant in my practice and often leads to observing and pushing the material boundaries in the search for answers.

My work is often informed by my relationship with the natural world. I'm interested in investigating the way places, spaces and landscape imprint on individual and collective memory (and vice-versa).
